Speed, Speed and more Speed. This is what heavy users of modern technology products that accept memory cards require today. Less waiting time to transfer files. Less waiting times to write files to cards. Well Transcend have come along and helped out with this by releasing their range of class 10 MicroSDHC (MicroSD) Memory Cards.

Class 10 cards are recommended for HD recording. This is a bit of a myth really that class 10 cards are required. Its not the memory card that dictates the HD video, its your device. So technically a Class 2 card would be OK for HD video, although we’d recommend something above a class 4. Its probably the motion/movement that would suffer on lower class rated cards. I.e the time it takes to write the data to the card from your device, hence why class 10 are recommended, as less time to wait, 10MB/s transfer rate (as this card will give) will write data to the card from your device at 10MB/s, as opposed to a class 2 which would write data to the card at 2MB/s.

Buy your Class 10 4GB Transcend MicroSDHC (MicroSD) Memory Cards from www.memorycow.co.uk today!

Memory capacities are not easing up. Kingston have now followed Transcend and Sandisk with their own 32GB microSDHC or microSD card whichever you prefer. Technically microSDHC is the correct name. Micro Secure Digital High Capacity referring to anything 4GB and above. Its still is quite remarkable that such a small thing can fit 32GB of memory into something that’s half the size of a stamp. There is almost the question of why would you need a 32GB microSDHC card for a mobile phone? Maybe for video, this is possibly the only thing you could conceivably fill up a 32GB card quickly. Even if you could convert your whole personal belongings and house into GB’s then chances are that wouldn’t even fill a 32GB memory card!

However the Kingston microSDHC is slightly different as it has a guaranteed 4MB/s as opposed to the 2MB/s that Transcend and Sandisk offer, so if you want a card that writes data faster to your phone then this is the one.

Remember to check that your mobile phone accepts the capacity if you’re in the market for a microSDHC memory card as not all phones accept 32GB. Phones like the HTC Gratia, HTC Desire HD, HTC Desire Z, Nokia C7, N8, Samsung P1000 Galaxy Tab, Focus, i909 Galaxy S will all accept/be compatible with the 32GB microSDHC memory cards.

We now await the production of a 64GB microSDHC memory card, although these are likely to be called 64GB microSDXC as microSDHC can technically only handle up to 32GB of NAND flash.

The new incarnation of SDHC now called SDXC are already well on their way with 64GB and beyond. At time of writing Kingston and Sandisk offer 128GB of data storage on their new range of SDXC cards.

Kingston have released the first Class 10 MicroSDHC memory card in 16GB form onto the market, which makes it the fastest MicroSDHC card available on the market at release. Its about time Kingston upped their 16GB range of microSDHC as they offered a pretty standard Class 2 rated card prior to this release. Transcend were the market leaders on the 16GB MicroSDHC front with a Class 6 speed rated card. We suspect Transcend will soon follow suit. No doubt Blackberry and HTC phone users will be snapping this card up at a pace. Or even users who use their mobiles as an on the go MP3 player. The 16GB card offers plenty of room to store 1000′s of song tracks and being class10 speed rated will transfer files very quickly indeed.
